It is with great pleasure that I congratulate my 4th grade students for being selected to be recognized and receive awards at the Annual Law Day Student Award Ceremony in May. The students will be performing their rap song about the 14th Amendment. Many of the students Art work will be on display as well. The event will take place at the Essex County Historic Courthouse in Newark.

Bring your books, papers, worksheets and necessary materials home with you.

Whats Better: Fiction or Nonfiction?
Though most people would agree that fiction has its benefits, many still prefer to read nonfiction. They say its a better use of their time to read about real people and events. Some people also point out that nonfiction makes you more knowledgeable about the world and can help you learn valuable skills.

Parents please remember to check your child's Homework Planner every night. All homework should be written in Planner before your child leaves school. All homework must be signed by a parent before student returns to school the next day. Thank You.

Each week a different student from our class will have an opportunity to be our guest scientist. He or she will prepare an experiment or demonstration to teach the class about any science concept. The week before the students assigned day, he or she will take home our special Scientists Kit, which will include a folder with sample experiments.
